A Heart Called to Serve Families
There’s something magical that happens when we have support through life’s most profound moments. My calling to birth work began through my own birth experiences, and over the years, I’ve had the profound privilege of witnessing the strength, grace, and incredible power that lives within every parent birthing their baby. My approach to birth and postpartum care is rooted in the belief that every parent carries ancient wisdom within them—they simply need the right environment, support, and gentle guidance to access it. I draw from both best practices and time-honored traditions, creating a bridge between the old ways and modern comfort.

I have had the honor of serving families as a birth worker since 2009. Every birth and postpartum journey has been uniquely different, unlike any other in some way. I found hypnobirthing when preparing for my second baby’s birth, and have carried it’s teaching with me into each birth thereafter. I have been so thankful for the shift in mindset that allowed me to set aside my worry and anxiety, learning to embrace calm birth preparation that has proven helpful on the actual day of birth for me each time. Birth is hard work, but it can be manageable with support.
I have supported families in hospital, home, and birth center births, medicated and medication-free births, cesarean surgical births, VBACs and HBACs, and inductions. My favorite birth affirmation is: “I am open to the birth my baby needs.”
I am so proud of my family, and am beyond blessed to call them mine. My children continue to impress and entertain me daily with their never-ending musical and artistic talents. I love playing music with my children and husband, walking our dogs, going on day trips and vacations, and actively trying to slow down and enjoy life together between the hustle and bustle of a busy family. Life moves incredibly fast, so I intend to honor my life and family with a healthy work-life balance that allows me to pour into my loved ones and clients, leaving some time for me, too. For this reason, I limit the number of clients I take on each month.
My Philosophy
Birth is not something that happens to you—it’s something you do. My role is to hold space for your innate wisdom to emerge, to offer practical tools when you need them, and to remind you of your own incredible strength when doubt creeps in.
I believe in:
– The power of informed choice and gentle preparation
– Creating calm, sacred spaces for birth and healing
– Honoring both the science and art of pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding
– Supporting families with warmth, wisdom, and unwavering compassion
